HXGT / QUALITY CONTROL

The details
deserve a closer look.

A practical inspection framework built around agreed specifications, product checks and clear reporting—not a blanket guarantee.

01QUALITY FRAMEWORK

Define acceptance
before inspection.

Agree what will be checked, how it will be checked and how findings will be reviewed. The scope should suit the product and project.

01

Before production

Review requirements, samples and requested product documentation.

02

During production

Check agreed milestones while there is still time to address deviations.

03

Before shipment

Review the selected product and packaging scope against accepted criteria.

Scope matters.A sampling inspection is not a guarantee that every unit is defect-free. Acceptance criteria, sampling and specialist testing are agreed for the order.
02INSPECTION AREAS

Look beyond
the product photograph.

Dimensions, appearance, assembly and function require different checks. The tools and method should match the agreed criteria.

Dimensions & interfaces
01

Dimensions & interfaces

Compare critical dimensions with the approved drawing or sample. Record the reference and tool used.

Weight & consistency
02

Weight & consistency

Use agreed weight checks where relevant. Record units and investigate deviations against the accepted reference.

Finish & workmanship
03

Finish & workmanship

Review visible surfaces, edges, colour and assembly. Document the defect location rather than rely on a general description.

Functional checks
04

Functional checks

Run the agreed test sequence with appropriate equipment. Specialist electrical or safety testing requires suitably qualified support.

03PACKAGING & COMPLETENESS

What surrounds the product
is part of the order.

Protective packaging, instructions, accessories and labels deserve a defined checklist of their own.

Internal protection
Outer-carton identification
Accessories and instructions

Inside the carton

  • Product and accessory completeness
  • Protection at vulnerable points
  • Instruction and label versions
  • Agreed unit packing arrangement

Outside the carton

  • Order and product identification
  • Carton quantity and visible condition
  • Shipping marks against the agreed reference
  • Handling information required by the order
04FINDINGS & FOLLOW-UP

Record the finding.
Keep the decision visible.

An inspection record is useful when the buyer can understand the scope, see the issue and identify the next action.

Inspection checklist and field records

A useful record includes

  • Order or sample reference and inspection scope
  • Date, location and inspected quantity
  • Method, criteria and observations
  • Clear photographs of identified issues
  • Open questions, corrective actions and recheck status
NO BLANKET PASS CLAIM

The release decision follows the agreed contract and acceptance process. Outstanding deviations should remain visible until resolved.

Finding→Supplier response→Buyer decision→Recheck, if required
05INDEPENDENT SUPPORT

The right expertise.
For the right check.

HXGT’s stated approach combines procurement-team checks, third-party testing where arranged and checks before shipment.

Independent testing or inspection can be discussed when a product or project requires it. Provider selection, test method, scope, fees and reporting arrangements are confirmed separately.

06PRACTICAL QUESTIONS

Before the inspection
is booked.

Can I provide my own inspection checklist?
Yes. Share the checklist, drawings, acceptance criteria and required reporting format at inquiry stage. Feasibility and scope must be agreed.
Will every unit be tested?
Not by default. The inspected quantity, sampling approach and any full-unit testing need to be expressly agreed for the order.
What happens when an issue is found?
Record the issue and affected scope, request the supplier’s response and obtain the relevant decision. Rework and re-inspection can be arranged when included in the agreed scope.
Are laboratory reports included automatically?
No. A visual or dimensional inspection is different from a laboratory test. State the report or test you need so the correct service can be discussed.
